Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias is paying an official visit to Yerevan on Tuesday to meet with Armenian state officials.

Dendias will first meet with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan before extended talks are held, followed by joint statements to the press at approximately 13:20 (Athens time).

The Greek minister will then be received by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan; Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan will also attend this meeting.

Dendias' visit will conclude with a working lunch hosted by Mirzoyan.

Talks are expected to focus on current developments in the Caucasus region and the Eastern Mediterranean, on cooperation between the two countries in the framework of trilateral cooperation schemes, and also on EU-Armenia relations.

This will be Dendias' second visit to Armenia in less than two years, while the two ministers also met last week during the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
