Vassilis Spanoulis renewed his contract with Olympiacos and will play in Piraeus until 2018. The captain had another great season with Olympiacos, leading the Erythrolefki to their second straight Greek Basket League Title.
Olympiacos BC announced today that Spanoulis extended his contract with Olympiacos until 2018. The Angelopoulos brothers met with Spanoulis yesterday, and the two sides came to a contract agreement, with Spanoulis earning €1.5 million a year. After Olympiacos won the Greek Basket League Title earlier this month, Spanoulis announced that he wanted to remain in Piraeus and help Olympiacos win more championships in the coming season. The Olympiacos captain had a remarkable season, hitting two game-winning 3-pointers (Game 2 & Game 4) in the Basket League Finals against Panathinaikos to give Olympiacos their second straight Greek Title. Now that Spanoulis’ stay in Piraeus is a done deal, the Erythrolefki will now focus on signing new players in the off-season in preparation for the new year.
