Innovative online global advice platform launched

A unique online platform has just been launched, straight out of Sydney, with the ambition of becoming the global online transactional space that connects the public who seek out customised advice with professionals from the legal, financial, real estate and other industry sectors.

The brainchild of CEO and Founder Spiros Christoforatos, Advicemarket.com is already garnering international attention from content providers in other parts of the world due to its unique and specialised focus on customising advice for the average punter and providing an interactive interface for the marketplace.

The platform which appears to be the only one of its kind at the moment, appears to be filling a gap in the market given the positive reception it has encountered with industry professionals, and expression of interest that is coming in from overseas.

“We are excited by the prospects for future growth and in a matter of just a few weeks have approved over 500 industry advisors onto our platform,’’ says Christoforatos who came up with the idea during a break from his 30- year stint in the financial services sector.

Christoforatos had become increasingly frustrated with the recurring scandals that were rocking the very core of an industry that he deemed so important to people’s lives. He was saddened to see so many thousands of ordinary people caught in the crossfire in a landscape that was tarnished by few advisors, affecting the reputation of thousands of ethical professionals who work in the industry.

‘’It was at that moment, during my break, that I decided to make a difference and with the support of my family and friends I began the journey to give back to an industry that gave so much to me and my family. So, armed with my experience, knowledge and strong values and a firm connection with the Greek concept of ‘philotimo’ I set about carefully building AdviceMarket.com which now proudly provides consumers a smart, simple and secure place to search, communicate and connect with expert advisors to help them with their broader advice needs.

‘’I created AdviceMarket to make advice accessible to everyone. I've also seen how difficult it is for everyday people to find the good advice they deserve,’’ adds Christoforatos.

AdviceMarket.com’s community of advisors includes accountants, lawyers, lenders, experienced property people and financial advisors, who the company claim are heavily assessed and reviewed prior to listing on the Advice Market platform.

According to Christoforatos, all professionals are vetted and assessed on the basis of their identity, their profession, whether they’ve been banned, disqualified from providing advice or even bankrupt. After the verification and assessment process, he assures that all advisors listed have the appropriate qualifications in their given profession, hold the relevant licenses and a member of their respective industry body.

‘’Our central vision is to make good advice accessible to everyone. We’ll strive to increase consumer confidence in the broader advice industry, raise awareness and advocate how important it is to seek advice. We want to challenge the advice industry to raise their standards and support the campaign to raise financial literacy among ordinary people,’’ he concludes.
