In the spirit of true hospitality (filotimo) that would’ve even made Xenios Zeus smile, Greek hoteliers have offered free accommodation to Turkish tourists worried about returning to Turkey whilst the chaos and counter political coup continues in their country.

Specifically, the Hotel Association of Chalkidiki, northern Greece, announced that about 250 Turkish tourists currently visiting the area will be granted extended accommodation, free-of-charge, until the situation in their country stabilises.

"We did what we ought to do as professionals. There are still the same good customers as they were before July 10," the president of the association Grigoris Tasios told Greek media.
