The New York Knicks selected Greek wing Thanasis Antetokounmpo has been one of the most popular members of the D-League affiliate Westchester Knicks.

After two years in Westchester, 24-year-old Antetokounmpo has decided to play professionally in Europe- in an effort to gain higher-level experience and increase in pay.

According to Spanish publication Gigantes, Antetokounmpo will be leaving New York to play with MoraBanc Andorra of the ACB league in Spain.

Thanasis is perhaps best known as the brother of "Greek Freak" Giannis Antetokounmpo, the star forward of the Milwaukee Bucks. Thanasis was a second-round draft pick of the Knicks in 2014 and played in 141 games in the D-League over the past few years.

The 24-year-old averaged 3.0 points per game in his two appearances with the Knicks, while averaging 12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game during three seasons in the D-League with the Delaware 87ers and the Westchester Knicks.

With his strong athleticism and defensive potential, Antetokounmpo won many Knicks fans over but they will have to wait a while now before they see him in the Knicks jersey.
