Panagiotis Fasoulas is officially a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame! In yesterday's ceremony, the Greek Basketball Legend was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2016.

In June, it was officially announced that Fasoulas would be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame as a member of the  2016 class. At the induction ceremony in Geneva, Fasoulas became the second Greek player (behind Nick Galis) to enter FIBA's “golden list.” The “arachni” is without a doubt one of the best players in the history of Greek Basketball and arguably one of the best center’s in the history of European Basketball. He was a part of the Greek team that won the European Championship in 1987 and the silver medal at the European Championships in 1989. Fasoulas played the majority of his career at PAOK and finished his legendary career at Olympiacos.

Along with Fasoulas, NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon, Michele Timms of Australia, Spain's Juan Antonio of San Epifanio, and Mexico's Manuel Raga were inducted to this year’s Hall of Fame class. The 8 member Class of 2016 was capped off with coach Jorge Canavesi (Argentina), special contributors Juan Antonio Samaranch (Spain), and former NBA Commissioner David Stern.
