Greek media is reporting U.S. President Barack Obama will visit Athens, shortly after the United States presidential elections on November 8. Reports are claiming the official visit will take place from November 14-15, before he heads across to Berlin.

During his European visit, Obama is said to be having meetings with a number of European leaders- this is before he officially hands over his role as U.S. President.

It is believed he will be meeting with Greece's President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and an official announcement concerning the visit will be made soon by the White House and the Greek government.

The Greek government is hoping Obama and the U.S. governments support concerning debt relief for the country would be seen as a major bonus for Greece.
