Police evacuated the offices of the Greek Labor Ministry in Athens after an alleged explosive device was discovered following a tip-off to Greek media.
According to media reports an anonymous phone call was made to a newspaper warning that a bomb would go off at the Ministry in 40 minutes.
Police evacuated the area and sent in the bomb squad who discovered a device and neutralised it with three controlled explosions.
Police are currently analysing CCTV footage of the area and are analysis the remains of the device.
As yet no group as claimed any responsibility.
