Tourism Minister encourages Saudi interest in Greece

Sporting a headscarf and traditional Saudi attire, Greece’s Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura promoted Greece as a popular destination for Saudi Arabian tourists, during her recent visit to Riyadh.

During her official visit, she met with tourism industry officials to encourage stronger bilateral cooperation on tourism given the increase in Saudi Arabian tourists to Greece.

Kountoura was part of the delegation of Greek officials accompanying the Greek President on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.

Kountoura attended a luncheon held in honour of the Greek delegation and hosted by the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. She also participated in official talks between Greece and Saudi Arabia that concerned issues of bilateral tourism interest.
