Greek Fest takes over Sydney’s Darling Harbour Precinct on 25 & 26 February. With free music entertainment, Greek food and drinks, market stalls, dance performances and more, this much-loved festival is an event for all ages. This year, audiences are in for a treat on Sunday evening with a free performance by adored Greek songstress Glykeria taking to the stage to perform some of her much-loved hits.

Recognised as one of Greece's most important female singers, Glykeria's career spans over three decades. Early on, she distinguished herself as an important voice in Greek music with her unique interpretation of songs by composers like Hadjidakis, Theodorakis and Loizos and in 1978 released her first album Min Kaneis Oneira. Incredibly popular both in Greece and internationally, Glykeria will draw a massive crowd for this unmissable show.

Any Greek celebration is not complete without a feast and the 2016 Greek Fest is no different. From food stalls, to home cooking, sweet treats and savoury mezedes, the Festival will have something on offer for all the lovers of Greek cuisine. Sydney can feast on the best that the Greek kitchen has to offer so go with an empty stomach, and comfy shoes and get set to eat, drink and dance the night away.

Indubitably one of the most prominent multicultural events in Sydney, and a must do in the events calendar, Greek Fest Darling Harbour will give Sydneysiders a taste of Greece as the foreshore of Darling Harbour comes alive. This year’s program is new and exciting, sure to showcase the richest display of Greek culture in Australia.
