As done with success for the past five years, 2mm Radio will run its sixth radiothon to raise money in support of underprivileged citizens, who are suffering due to the economic crisis in Greece. The fundraising radiothon will take place on Wednesday 22nd March 2017, from 09:00 – 22:00.

2mm Radio would like the support of the Diaspora to demonstrate, once again, that the Greek community of Australia are caring and ready to help. The help of the community and the generosity of the Greek people will provide great relief and assistance to fellow compatriots in Greece and especially to the children in need, who do not have a voice or the means to obtain the necessities for their existence.

Last year they raised 66 thousand dollars and all of this money was used to purchase medical equipment, medicine and food. They are hoping to exceed this amount in 2017, in order to help more charities.

Manager of 2MM Radio Yiannis Meravoglou, made his way across Greece personally helping handing out food and medical supplies to the much needed charities and organisations, mostly for children in need.

Be sure to listen to 1665 AM in Sydney, 1656 AM in Darwin, 99.3 FM in Wollongong or via the internet at www.2mm.com.au or via Tune In radio on your mobile phone.
