Since opening last October, Love Crepe has fast become one of Sydney's most desired creperie and gelato stores, specialising in a unique style of hand-held crepes, artisanal gelato and shakes.
In honour of their Hellenic heritage, owners Nick and Michael Kondilis have developed four delicious flavours, that are made on site, to help celebrate Greek Independence Day tomorrow- 25th of March.
Available from today and right through to next week, you can let your taste buds 'Go Greek' with -
Greek Yoghurt + Sour Cherry
Traditional Greek yoghurt made on site churned into gelato and drizzled with sour cherry
Ekmek Kataifi
Kataifi baked and soaked in Kalymnian honey, layers of vanilla custard gelato and topped with crushed pistachios
Ouzo and Coca Cola Sorbetto
A twist on the famous combination we all enjoy in Greece
Rice Pudding (Rizogalo)
A traditional recipe fondly remembered from Yiayia, this gelato is lemon and cinnamon infused gelato with rice. Served a little colder but just as delicious.
Over the last few months Love Crepe has received overwhelmingly incredible support from the Greek community of Sydney, who frequently visit to recreate their holiday memories of eating a sweet crepe by the Aegean sea. And now they have also introduced a full new menu of Savoury Crepes for lunch and dinner - ensuring they don't only satisfy those with a sweet tooth!
But why is it that all I can think about right now is a Nutella Crepe with Rizogalo gelato on top???
