Greek Prime Minister to meet with Putin and Erdogan during China visit 2

The Chinese government has invited Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to participate in an a four day conference in Beijing titled “Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.”

Tsipras has confirmed his attendance at the conference, which will take place between May 12 – 15 where he will also meet with world leaders and heads of international organisations on the sidelines of the forum, among which, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

On May 12-13, the Prime Minister will meet with representatives of investment, banking and business groups. The schedule is presented in local time (Beijing +5 hours from Greece):

Sunday, May 14 2017
09:00-10:10 – Start of Belt and Road Forum with a speech by Chinese President Xi Jinping
10:30-12:30 – High-level dialog / Belt and Road Forum plenum
18:00 – Arrival at the Great Hall of the People, welcoming by Xi and a group photo
18:30-19:30 – Official dinner for heads of state and government
20:00-21:00 – Cultural event at Beijing’s National Opera
