Civil engineers on the island of Lesvos have declared more than 480 buildings uninhabitable after the devastating earthquake that hit the island over the weekend.
A team of civil engineers from the Infrastructure Ministry have inspected more than 800 buildings on the island and so far have given the "green light" to 372 buildings.
Breaking down the numbers, 755 of the inspections concern houses, of which 339 were declared habitable and 416 uninhabitable. The rest concern business venues, churches, warehouses and other buildings. The crews are continuing their inspections.
