The Greek Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday the approval of restoration and maintenance funding for damaged buildings on the island of Lesvos.
The Minister Panos Skourletis said the amount of 468,406 euros will be used to deal with the serious damages in buildings and infrastructure after the strong earthquake last week and to help with the management of the refugee crisis.
Of those funds, 300,000 will be used to restore damages and, following a decision by Migration Policy Minister Yiannis Mouzalas, the remaining 168,406 will be used by the municipality to handle issues relating to migration.
