Giannis Antetokounmpo, The “Greek Freak” who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks was named the league’s Most Improved Player for 2016-17 at the NBA Awards show on Monday.
22-year-old Giannis has emerged as one of the league’s most talented players in 2016-17, averaging 22.9 points 8.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game for the Bucks last season.
He made marked improvement across the board from his third year in the NBA in 2015-16 and proved game-in and game-out why he’s earned the nickname of “The Greek Freak.”
In his acceptance speech, Giannis thanked God, his parents, his brother and all of his Greek fans for their continuous support.
