Greece beat the USA 7-6 in a feature match of day-three at the FINA Junior Men’s Water Polo World Championships in Belgrade, finishing top place in their group and making it into the Quarter Final round.
Greece led 3-1, 4-2 and 6-3, with the entire team performing well and Greece's standout player being Charalampos Troulos who scored all three opening-quarter goals.
They finished first in Group A, which included USA, Russia, Iran and Puerto Rico and will now play in the Quarter Finals on Saturday, 12th of August.
Taking first spot in their group has allowed the Greek team a few days off from competition and are currently training for the next round, as they wait to find out which nation they will be up against.
