Katerina Stefanidi has finished the 2017 season on an all time high, after winning gold for Greece in the women’s pole vault at the IAAF Diamond League Championship in Brussels yesterday, for a second consecutive year.
Having cleared 4.85m, Stefanidi stood high on the podium accepting her medal and has been crowned World Champion, European Champion and now Diamond League Champion over the last year.
Stefanidi, who won gold for Greece at the 2016 Rio Olympics has once again made Greece and her fans around the world proud and says she is now happy to take some time off the track and field to relax, before starting training for 2018.
