Greece’s “Lord of the Rings” Eleftherios Petrounias has won gold for Greece at the 2017 Paris Challenge Cup, which was held over the weekend.
Although Eleftherios has been recovering from a shoulder injury, he has proven he is still number one around the world on the gymnastics rings, taking first spot with 15,500 points.
The Challenge Cup in Paris this weekend marks the end of a long season of all-around and apparatus world cups and challenge cups, coming in at the perfect time as gymnasts are putting in final preparations for World Championships in Montreal, which begin in just over two weeks and Eleftherios says he is more than ready for.
