Greece’s golden gymnastics star Eleftherios Petrounias has qualified first place in the men’s rings for the 47th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, which are currently underway in Montreal, Canada.
Petrounias, took first spot with 15.4 points, Russia’s Denis Abliazin came in second with 15.333 and Ibrahim Colak from Turkey took third place with 15.033 points.
The finals for the Men’s Rings will take place on Saturday 7th of October.
“It's official…1st place after qualification and looking forward for the big finals on Saturday,” said Petrounias on his social media pages.
The 47th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships this year sees more than 450 gymnasts representing 72 nations, who will compete for best-in-the-world status in the emblematic Montreal Olympic stadium.
