Greek American Greg Zanis, who is known in America for honouring victims of mass shootings around the U.S. has installed 58 white crosses on the Las Vegas Strip, after a horrific mass shooting took place there last Sunday.

The 66- year- old drove from his home in Illinois to Vegas and planted the crosses close to the site of the Route 91 Harvest country music festival where 58 people were killed.

The retired carpenter has become well-known for building more than 20,000 of the markers over the last 20 years, including the Columbine and Sandy Hook school shootings, as well as the Orlando nightclub massacre.

These crosses, which Zanis said took him two days to cut and paint, feature a red heart and he plans to keep the tribute up for 40 days before giving the crosses to the families of the victims.
