More than 300,000 readers took part in the 30th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey by Condé Nast Traveller, which included millions of ratings and more than 100,000 comments to help create a list of winning favourites.

“Mystique masterfully combines elegant design, traditional architecture, luxury service, relaxing ambience and Santorini’s legendary beauty,” the hotel said in an announcement. “Carved into the rugged Caldera cliffs that overlook the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, Mystique’s unique location creates a distinct serene quality that defines the hotel’s character.

A favoured destination for honeymoons and romantic escapes, Mystique is nothing but a natural, exclusive retreat, designed to provide the very best sensorial experiences to its guests,” the hotel said.

Mystique’s sister property Vedema Resort located in the medieval village of Megalohori, has evolved from a 400-year-old wine cellar and a 100-year-old mansion into an authentic Cycladic-styled property. “Dedicated to the needs of seasoned travellers, the resort is renowned for its charming, luxurious and intimate ambience,” the announcement said.
