Following the tragic deaths and destruction of the flash flooding in Attica, Greek flags are at half-mast at all of Greece’s diplomatic missions around the world.

Foreign embassies and consulates have also expressed their condolences and solidarity for the people of Greece as emergency services rush to manage the crisis.

Meanwhile, Eurobank announced that as of Thursday, it was suspending all collection procedures related to outstanding loans by private, professional and business entities based in or working at the areas of Mandra and Nea Pergamos, which were severely affected by flash flooding after torrential rains that started on Tuesday.

A representative for the bank said the suspension of collections included telephone contacts, mailing of outstanding debt warnings, injunctions, forced collection measures, and Code of Conduct letters.
