It comes as no surprise that three of Greece’s beaches are ranked among Europe’s best for this year, according to TripAdvisor’s recently released 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards for Beaches.
Elafonissi on Crete was named the second best among the top 25 beaches in Europe, furthermore it ranked eleventh among the world’s top 25 best beaches for 2018.
La Concha Beach at San Sebastian, Spain ranked first in Europe and Falesia Beach in Portugal took third spot.
Balos beach and lagoon on Crete and Simos beach in Elafonissos in the Peloponnese ranked eighth and eleventh respectively on the list of Tripadvisor’s top 25 beaches in Europe for 2018.
TripAdvisor awarded 355 beaches overall, including the top 25 in the world and local lists for Asia, Europe, Africa, South Pacific, South America, Middle East, France, Germany and Greece among other countries.
The Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos was crowned best beach in the world this year.
