The President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker told the government of FYROM to resolve the decades long name-dispute with Greece if it wants European membership.
Juncker made the statements on Sunday during his visit in Skopje where he met with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
“Do your job with Greece... I do not intend to lecture those involved,” said Junker who is on a Western Balkans tour hat also will include stops in Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Montenegro.
The EU Commission President took the opportunity to praise FYROM for the “pace of reforms” needed to join the EU, but urged the government to settle the 25-year dispute over the country's name.
