The Hellenic Club Sydney will again this year host a traditional midnight feast to celebrate “Pascha”, Greek Orthodox Easter, at its acclaimed restaurant, Alpha.

The Pascha supper will incorporate traditional Greek dishes such as succulent lamb shank mayeritsa, spit-roasted whole suckling lamb, Tsoureki Easter bread and red dye eggs by chef Peter Conistis.

Arthur Balayannis, CEO of the Hellenic Club says, “Pascha is one of the most significant celebrations in the Greek Orthodox calendar and the supper held at Alpha provides the opportunity to maintain and promote our traditions”.

From the inaugural Pascha supper, Hellenic Club Sydney raises thousands of dollars, which is donated to the soup kitchen at the Greek Orthodox Parish of Saints Constantine and Helen, in Newtown.

The Pascha feast will follow Easter Saturday Anastasi church service, on Sunday 8 April, 12:30am to 3:00am.
