The mayor of Athens will be visiting Skopje today following an invitation by his Skopje counterpart Petre Shilegov to sign a cooperation agreement between the two cities.

Kaminis and Shilegov had met in Athens earlier this year where they examined issues relating to urban growth, digital strategy and meeting the challenges of climate change.

Meanwhile Greece's Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels on Thursday afternoon, ahead of the NATO foreign ministers meeting on Friday. Diplomatic sources said they discussed the FYROM name issue and relations with Turkey.

The meeting today will focus on the alliance's policy for the Middle East, North Africa and West Balkans, and on its relations with Russia. At a working luncheon, the foreign ministers of member states will discuss current developments and the situation in Afghanistan.
