Santorini voted best island in Europe once again


It comes as no surprise that Santorini has topped the best island category again, this time taking the number one spot as best island in Europe at the Leisure Lifestyle Awards 2018, with Mykonos and Crete also making the top 10 list.

According to American publication Global Traveller magazine, Santorini was voted the best island in Europe, while Mykonos ranked 3rd and Crete in 8th place.

Greece, as a whole ranked in 8th place as the country with the most attractive historical locations.

The yearly Leisure Lifestyle Awards are given every year after Global Traveler conducts a survey of its readers. This year’s survey took place from October 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018. The readers answered open-ended questions for the best in many categories of leisure, luxury and lifestyle travel.
