The bitter battle over George Michael’s $140 million fortune continues as his ex-partner Kenny Goss has also decided to challenge the singer’s will.
Reports claim George has left his money and properties, including the house in Oxfordshire where he died of heart and liver disease on Christmas Day 2016, to his sisters Melanie and Yioda.
The will is currently being disputed by Fadi Fawaz, a hairdresser who had a five-year relationship with Michael before his death.
However new reports claim Kenny Goss, the star’s ex-boyfriend of 15 years, has also hired lawyers to mount a claim for a substantial portion his will, on the grounds that he supported the superstar through his most turbulent years. One friend said: ‘George always told Kenny he would look after him, see him right and that he would not want for anything. They were together for many years and Kenny looked after him so much. He doesn’t feel the will reflects this.’
Goss has publicly spoken of how he protected George, saying he flushed his drugs down the toilet to try to help him kick his addiction.
Earlier this year, George’s family were devastated when Fawaz hired a lawyer in his fight over the fortune and refusal to move out of the star’s three-bedroom Central London home and reports claim Fawiz is selling off some of the singer’s possessions because he is broke.
