Convicted terrorist and former hitman for November 17 terrorist group Dimitris Koufodinas was hospitalised on Thursday following a hunger strike.
According to prison authorities Koufodinas was on a hungers strike to protest the fact that his third application for furlough was not approved. He has previously been granted two furloughs in the last six months by the prison council.
The former hitman refused food all last week, resulting in weight loss and other health issues.
