Buses and trolley buses in Athens will not operate from 12pm until 5pm on Thursday, June 14th 2018. The strike is to take place following a decision by the union of workers at Athens Urban Transportation Organisation (OASA).
The stoppage is to take place so that all workers can attend a general assembly meeting.
Buses will gradually start returning to the depots as of 11am, and should be running by 6pm or a bit later.
The strike will affect all bus schedules, including the buses to and from Athens International Airport.
Staff are planning to discuss how to prevent the shutdown of the bus depot at Elliniko, the old Athens airport premises.
