Turkey’s Foreign Minister: “Not even a bird will fly over the Aegean without our permission”

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has once again made provocative statements, this time saying “Not even a bird will fly over the Aegean without permission from Turkey,” as he spoke on national Turkish radio on Wednesday .

Çavuşoğlu also spoke about issues with Cyprus and claims that "Ankara is the dominant force in the Aegean."

According to a report in Elefthero Tipo, the Turkish Foreign Minister was asked about the 18 islands that have been “granted to Greece” and he replied: "Nothing has changed in the current regime as well as in the legal status of the islands. We will not allow it. Not even a bird can fly over the Aegean without permission from Turkey. Not a single piece of rock will be given away. "
