The Summer Nostos Festival (SNFestival) has kicked off and will continue to June 24th, 2018, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens.
The Summer Nostos Festival (SNFestival), is a wonderful summer celebration for the entire city, which is open and free to every resident and every visitor and is organized and exclusively funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
Festival organisers say the Festival encapsulates the idea of “Nostos” (homecoming), the inexhaustible desire to return to all things familiar; which have helped make us nostalgic.
For the next week, visitors will be given the opportunity to enjoy a variety of music performances, games, dancing, sports events, an international conference on philanthropy, and many more events during both day and night.
“For yet another summer, the SNFestival events find an ideal venue in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). During the Festival, multiple spaces in the SNFCC, both indoors and outdoors, fill with summer moments, colors, smells and different forms of expression and creation."
“Music, singing, dance, theater, modern art, sports, the SNF RUN: Running into the Future, a unique chess match, family activities, talks, the SNF Conference on Philanthropy, performances, fireworks, as well as live broadcast of football matches set the stage for this year’s SNFestival – a week of events free and open to all!
