Assassin's Creed Odyssey developer Ubisoft has revealed that it pushed for as many Greek actors as possible for the upcoming sequel of the blockbuster game, which is now set in Ancient Greece.

In case you missed it, Odyssey takes place in Ancient Greece and will feature two playable characters: Alexios and Kassandra, voiced by Greek actors Michael Antonakos and Melissanthi Mahut, respectively.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey audio director Lydia Andrew said the game's setting offered 'a nice opportunity for us to have a deep dive into the culture of Greece and obviously Ancient Greece.'

'You can have a great actor who's great at accents, and that's fantastic, but you can also find great Greek actors and work with them too.'

The much anticipated game is due out on October 5 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and fully embraces the RPG mechanics introduced in last year's Origins.
