A for Athens rooftop bar is beyond Amazing

A is for more than just Athens. The A also stands for amazing, awesome, astonishing- as that is exactly what A for Athens rooftop bar is!

Found on the top floor of A for Athens Hotel, this venue has become one of the best rooftop bars in Greece's capital city and definitely offers the finest views in town! The prime location gives you unobstructed sightings of the Acropolis and overlooks buzzing Monastiraki Square and Plaka, making it an absolutely breathtaking place to grab a drink any time of the day!

A for Athens is set across two levels and every seat in the house is amazing. It is the ideal place to enjoy brunch (champagne breakfast anyone?) lunch (with a vodka in hand) dinner (with a fine wine) or cocktails ( the choice is yours) while sitting exactly across from the Parthenon.

At night is when the magic happens, as the famous ancient Greek site, looking straight at you, lights up and shines brightly over the city, giving you the perfect opportunity to snap some astonishing shots. And really, it's no wonder this rooftop bar has become popular for Instagrammers!

The skilled bartenders make a wide range of craft cocktails and some of the most popular are based on Greek Mythology. We suggest you try the ‘Golden Flip’ (with tahini and honey), ‘The Old Sport’ (inspired by J. Gatsby), ‘Passion Caramel’, ‘A for Athens Sour’ (a drink that won the head bartender, Theodore Pyrillos first place at the European Cocktail Competition) and the list goes on.

The vibrant atmosphere combined with all the latest lounge tracks playing in the background, draws crowds of people every night, so it's not unusual to be waiting in a long queue to get in (sometimes the lines begin from the ground floor all the way up to the sixth!) So make sure to get there early or make a reservation! But don't despair as once you get there you will be impressed by the friendly and polite staff who even offer to take photos for you!
