Mykonos’ famous Nammos beach bar, which is popular amongst worldwide celebrities and socialites has been shut down for the weekend due to tax evasion.
According to reports, authorities raided the well-known beach bar on Friday at lunchtime and found that they had not cut 250 bills worth a total of 73,000 euros.
Lawsuits were initiated immediately to shut the premises for 48 hours.
This came at a very bad time for the island, as yesterday was the grand opening of Nammos Village, a new boutique shopping complex featuring designer labels near Psarou beach.
The opening is set be a spectacular party with a line-up of international DJ’s and models including Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratakovski and Kate Moss.
