Greece’s great summer sales kicked off all around the country on Monday, July 9 and will continue through to Friday, August 31, ensuring tourists are able pick up some great bargains during their holiday!
Store owners are hoping turnover will be higher than last year due to the larger number of tourists in the country, with over 32 million visitors expected to arrive in Greece this year.
Stores expect the great sales, which includes up to 70% off certain items, will give tourists more incentive to buy.
Moreover, the shops will remain open throughout Greece on Sunday July 15, from 11am until 8pm.
Retailers are optimistic that a slight increase in retail sales in 2017 will continue this year with the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Enterprises estimating a turnover of 6.06 billion euros, some 0.6 to 0.7 percent up from last year’s summer sales.
So if you are in Greece and looking to purchase some summer clothes or accessories, now is your time to shop!
