A crisis management meeting focusing on the areas hit by the recent devastating fires, has taken place at the Government Headquarters at Maximos Mansion, Athens.
The meeting that was chaired by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, was attended by Alekos Flambouraris; State Minister, Panos Skourletis; Interior Minister, Giorgos Chouliarakis; Alternate Finance Minister, Alexis Chartists; Alternate Economy Minister, Rena Dourou; Regional Governor of Attica and the mayors of the affected areas.
After the meeting, Ms. Dourou stated "at these times, with the respect of the memory of our fellow citizens, we do not simply have our thoughts with them but are moving ahead with serious actions and initiatives...With a sense of duty, all of the ministers, mayors and officials are moving ahead with seriousness and a sense of responsibility."
She further added "we have an obligation never to walk down the same roads we do every summer with the fires and in the winter with the floods."
