FYROM referendum over name deal set for September

Following the ratification by their Parliament of the name deal with Greece, FYROM voted on Monday to hold a referendum of the “Prespes Agreement” on September 30.

Greece is also set to declare a referendum essentially giving the people a voice in the matter but seems will wait for developments in FYROM before moving ahead.

The referendum question to be asked of the people of FYROM is whether they are “in favour of NATO and EU memberships and accepting the name deal with Greece”.
