The words of Flora Papaioannou, a burnt fire victim who is currently in Thriasio hospital, have again highlighted the tragic circumstances so many encountered in Mati last week.
The lady described the moments she experienced first hand the deadly fires in which she lost her husband who had a physical disability and six close friends, while her daughter managed to save herself from the fires.
"I do not wish this on my worst enemy, I have been severely burned," Flora told Alpha news while struggling to speak due to her injuries.
Flora said she lost six of her close neighbours who ran to their cars and tried to escape, however they didn't manage to do so and lost their lives from smoke inhalation.
"I saved my child but I lost my husband," Flora told reporters while trying to come to terms with her huge loss.
