Chef Panagiotis Kokkinidis, along with his wife Anna, their two young children Giorgos and Dimitris and his mother Pippina will all be laid to rest today after tragically losing their lives to the deadly wildfires last Monday in Mati.
In absolutely tragic and heartbreaking circumstances, the entire family was found huddled together, amongst the 26 people who were all found on top of each other as they tried to escape the fires.
As the chef saw the wild flames coming, he made a final post on his Facebook page, telling his family and friends, “If a miracle doesn’t occur, a lot of people are going to die.”
On Wednesday, 1st of August family and friends will say their final farewell to Panagiotis, his wife, sons, and mother at the Holy Temple of Saint Constantine and Eleni in Kalambaka.
