Another Gold for Greece at European Championship as Papachristou wins Triple Jump Final

Voula Papachristou has won gold in the triple jump at the 24th European Track and Field Championship, making it Greece's third over the last few days.

The Greek athlete won the gold medal with 14.60m in her 2nd attempt and raised the total number of Greek medals to 27, with 11 gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze.

This has been the greatest success of her career so far and after jumping at 14.60m Papachristou pointed to the sky and the black ribbon she wore next to the national emblem, as a sign of remembering those who lost their lives in the deadly wildfires.
