Stefanos Tsitsipas runner up in the Masters 1000 final

Greece’s 20-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas who was contending the Masters 1000 title on his birthday, was unable to beat world number one, Rafael Nadal.

Stefanos had an incredible run in the Rogers Cup, beating four Top 10 players in a row, earning him the title of being the youngest Masters 1000 finalist since Novak Djokovic in 2007.

The Athens native and young tennis sensation gave it his all on the court, as many flag-waving Greek supporters attended to cheer him on, but he was defeated by Rafael Nadal with a 6-2 7-6 win.
