The Athens and Epidaurus Festival has put together a special concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus on Wednesday, August 29, to pay tribute to the celebrated writer, poet and composer Manos Eleftheriou following his death earlier this summer.

All ticket purchases will be donated to the victims of July’s deadly Attica wildfires. The event, which has been organised and directed by singer Giorgos Dalaras, who will also take the stake, will include performances by: Giorgos Andreou, Fotini Velesiotou, Manolis Lidakis, Lavrentis Macheritsas, Giorgos Dalaras, Christos Nikolopoulos, Miltos Paschalidis, Hero Saia, Aspasia Stratigou, Tania Tsanaklidou, Maria Farantouri and a large orchestra, in a evening paying tribute to some 400 favourite songs by Eleftheriou.

Those who wish to support the event and help raise funds for the fire victims can purchase tickets (cost from 10 to 60 euros), from Viva.gr.
