Greece's Full Moon Festival 2018

Anyone lucky enough to be in Greece at the moment should make the most of the free August Full Moon events, which are currently taking place across the entire nation, with the highlight taking place tomorrow evening, August 26.

A total of 132 museums and archaeological sites across Greece will be open to the public with free admission for the full moon tomorrow night.

The venues staging events in Athens include the Acropolis Museum, open until midnight with free entry from 8pm with musical performances by the City of Athens Philharmonic Orchestra (9pm, main entrance) and the National Archaeological Museum is open until 11:45pm with free entry from 8pm with a free archaeologist discussion, theatrical lecture and a musical event.

Other museums across the country holding events are on the islands of Paros, Mykonos, Andros, Sifnos, Naxos, Kythnos, Milos, Kimolos, and Tinos.

The Acropolis on August 26 will remain open until 8pm and the Sounio archaeological sites will be open until midnight.
