At the age of 84, Dimitris Moudatsakis, from Crete, achieved his life-long dream of being accepted into university and not only did he pass with the highest marks from his school but based on the results announced yesterday, he enters the Department of History and Archaeology at Rethymno University as the highest scoring student.

According to inotos.gr, Dimitris' grandson also made it through to the Police Academy with very high marks, making it a double celebration for the family.

Dimitris dream has finally come true and he has become an inspiration to his family, friends and fellow students.

"This is what I have always wanted and now I'm so happy that I finally had the opportunity to study and to prove to myself that I can do it," Dimitris says.
