Belgium to pay Greece more than 200 million in profits it made from Greek bonds

According to Belgium business newspaper "L'Echo" sources from the country's Ministry of Finance say that Belgium is preparing to pay Greece a total of 221.8 million euros as part of the European Central Bank’s profits from the Greek bonds.
"L'Echo" states that in 2010 when the European Central Bank (ECB) repurchased Greek government debt, it allowed the Eurosystem (the ECB and the national central banks) to make a profit and now as part of the completion of Greece’s third funding program, the Eurozone member states have agreed to return these profits to Greece.
These monies will be paid to Greece and help the country to reduce its financing needs or to finance those investments that will be approved by the creditors.
