Athens annual book fair at Zappio Hall next to Syntagma Square is set to open today August 31 and will run through to Sunday, September 16.
This year's fair, which is organised by the Federation of Book Publishers' is dedicated to poems set to music, characterising several popular songs in Greece.
There will be ten exciting evenings highlighting the special collaborations between poets and composers, with songs performed by well-known singers. Also participating in the retrospectives will be the Theatro Technis and the State Theatre of Northern Greece.
The Hellenic President Prokopios Pavlopoulos will officially inaugurate the fair at 8pm on Monday, September 3.
