Greece’s golden girl in shooting Anna Korakaki is the new women’s Air Pistol World Champion, after winning gold at the 52nd International Shooting Sport Federation World Championship in Changwon, South Korea.
Not only has she added another gold medal to her collection, Anna has rightly earned herself a place at the 2020 Olympic Games which will be held in Tokyo.
The twenty-two year old scored 241.1 points, beating Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic (239.8 points) and South Korea’s Kim Bomi (218.8 points).
“This is massive, I am speechless. This is a great day for me…I can now take a long break before starting my preparation for the Games. There are still two years to go, and I will need to recharge the batteries after this championship” Anna said after the medal ceremony.
Congratulations Anna!
