Taste of Athens: World's leading culinary festival comes to Athens

Foodies, are you ready? The world’s most famous food festival is finally coming to Athens for the first time this year. Taste of, which takes part in more than 20 cities worldwide annually including, London (the birthplace of Taste of), Paris, Milan, Sydney, Amsterdam, New York, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong (to name a few), brings together the country’s top star chefs, to take part in cooking classes, tasting events and so much more.

This year, Taste of Athens is a cooperation (and five-year contract) between Taste Festivals platform and Toposophy, taking place on the Great Lawn of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. Ten iconic Athens restaurants and their chefs like Michelin star Spondi’s chef Angelos Lantos and Hytra’s chef Tasos Mantis will be there in pop-up form, serving exclusive tasting menus and their signature dishes at affordable prices with gastronomic flair. Tickets for the festival start from 15 euros.

Taste of Athens Chefs Niarchos Center

For four flavour-packed days from 27th to 30th September 2018, visitors will have the privilege to enjoy a hands-on experience with Greece’s top chefs, not to mention, endless Insta-story moments as you’ll get to mingle and speak with the chefs themselves. But that’s not all! There will also be cocktail master classes held by acclaimed mixologists and gourmet boutique food markets with an array of artisan produce from Greece's top food suppliers and producers.

Just announced- George Calombaris, one of Australia’s most well-known chefs will kick of the festival on Thursday, with his first ever live demonstration in Athens.
